P O P O V E R S
INGREDIENTS:
For 12 Popovers:
4 Large Eggs
2 Cups Whole Milk
1 tsp. Salt
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
For 6 Popovers:
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Whole Milk
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
The secret is to start with a COLD oven and
DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR DURING BAKING.
DIRECTIONS:
Beat eggs.
Add milk and wisk together.
Add flour and salt and wisk mixture just until blended.
Grease a popover pan or muffin tin.
Pour batter into popover pan or muffin tin (greased) 3/4 full.
Put popover pan or muffin tin on middle shelf in COLD oven.
Turn the oven to "BAKE" and set to "450 degrees".
Bake 25-30 minutes
(If your muffin tin is not as tall as normal,
or if your oven heats on the hot side,
25 minutes should be enough,
otherwise 30 minutes).
