TOFFEE BARS

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 LB Butter or Margarine at Room Temperature
1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Sifted Flour


TOPPING:

2 Kingsize Hershey Chocolate Bars
Crushed Nuts (if desired)

D E L I C I O U S !

DIRECTIONS:

Put softened butter or margarine into a bowl.
Add brown sugar and mix well.
Add egg yolk and vanilla.
Add sifted flour a bit at a time.
Mix ingredients slowly.
Dough will be very thick.

Spread out to the edges of a 10" x 15" pan
(a large cookie sheet with sides).
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

Have melted the two chocolate bars.
Spread immediately over the hot toffee bars.
Cover with crushed nuts, if desired.
Cut immediately into 2" squares.

Serves 20.
