Florida Atlantic University, Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering, Boca Raton and Dania Beach, Florida at our SeaTech Campus.

Acting as a liaison between the SeaTech Campus in Dania Beach, Florida, and the Boca Raton, Florida, Campuses, assisting with updating and maintaining our Department's website, assisting with the V-Tel system and Blackboard, concentrating on special recruiting activities, and providing activities and tours for guests who visit the SeaTech facility. Heavy word processing using the following word processing programs: Windows NT 4.0, Office 2000, Word 2000, WordPerfect 8.0 Powerpoint 97 and 2000, Excel 97 and 2000, and Basic HTML (also have used Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 and 97, WordPerfect 5.1, 6.0, and 8.0, Mass 11, WordStar, and T3). Word processing of a technical and statistical nature with complicated mathematical equations and detailed charts for research proposals and professional papers to be published, as well as regular word processing for graduate brochures, annual reports, ABET, submarine races, memos, correspondence, databases for mail/merge and list processing, etc. for the ocean engineering professors. Taking telephone calls, making travel reservations, typing travel reimbursements, assisting with student registration, recruiting, ordering textbooks, and handling special projects from time to time, such as involvement in the International Human Submarine Races and SeaTech. Producing annual reports, compiling and typing ABET and tenure packages, and developing Powerpoint slide presentations, manuals and brochures, including producing a professional colored folding brochure in Microsoft Word with text and 15 scanned photographs inserted, positioned, sized, cropped, etc., from layout to printing, were also part of my duties.

January 1, 1996 - Present:
Home-Based Desktop Publishing/Word Processing and Web Design Services, Pompano Beach, Florida.

Typing for clients on a part-time basis, designing web pages, creating PowerPoint presentations, greeting cards, brochures, manuals, newsletters, term papers, theses, mailing lists (databases) for mass mailings, correspondence, etc. as well as printing computerized astrological profiles. Programs: Windows98, Microsoft Word for Windows 2000, WordPerfect98, Microsoft Powerpoint (my specialty), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Works, and Expert Astrologer.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Reading, photography (one of my photographs, "Baptism Hat", has been published in the International Library of Photography's book, "Passing Memories"), videography, cooking, astrology, metaphysics, acting, ballroom dancing, swimming, word processing, creating greeting cards, computerized newsletters, astrological charts, Powerpoint slide presentations (my specialty), designing web pages, and writing short stories and poetry. My poem, entitled "A World of Peace" was published in the National Library of Poetry Anthology, "At Days End". Three of my poems, "Dancing in the Mirror", "Shades of Blue", and "Silent Words of Love", have been published in the International Library of Poetry's book, "The Silence Within". I have also received an International Poet of Merit Silver Award Bowl and a Bronze Commemorative Medallion from the International Society of Poets (International Society of Poets Summer Convention and Symposium, August 23-25, 2002).
